We have been reviewing the Moroccan property market for some time and bring to your attention the city of Marrakech. We feel that this is one of the best areas in Morocco in which to invest at the present time.
Not one low cost airline, but several, have daily flights from the UK; Ryan Air, Easy Jet, Atlas Blue, Royal Air Maroc etc, not to mention further flight connections through Marseille (Ryan Air’s new European hub). This gives you some indication of the expected potential and growth of this city.
Compared to a flight to Malaga, a flight to Marrakech takes only a few minutes longer, making it an easy holiday destination for shool half term or golf breaks.
Marrakech is also at the entrance to the Atlas mountains and the southern Morocco making it an exciting departure point for trips in to the desert and rallys.
Within the greater Marrakech area, several development projects are now underway and close to the city itself development continues in the area known as the “Palmeraie”, given the name because of the predominance of palm trees.
Investors and holiday makers will be predominantly French, Moroccan (from the larger cities such as Casablanca) and other European nationals with the British in increasing numbers.
